Airports in Cyprus – where do holidaymakers land?

The Republic of Cyprus has two international airports, which handle most air traffic to the island.

  • Larnaca International Airport (LCA) – the largest and busiest airport, located on the southeast coast and handling most holiday flights from Europe. It is only 4 km from the center of Larnaca and has excellent connections to cities such as Limassol and Nicosia.
  • Paphos International Airport (PFO) – a smaller but still very busy airport, popular especially with travelers heading to the west of the island. Ideal for vacationers who want to visit Paphos, Coral Bay or the Troodos Mountains.

The airports offer modern services – from car rentals, duty free shops, cafes to convenient transfers. Most tourists choose according to where they are going in Cyprus: east and south = Larnaca, west = Paphos.
